فراخوان شرکت در بخش مسابقۀ داستان کوتاه جشنوارۀ تیرگان 2017

جشنوارۀ تیرگان 2017 از نویسندگان علاقه‌مند دعوت می‌کند که داستان‌های کوتاه خود را به زبان فارسی برای شرکت در بخش مسابقۀ داستان کوتاه ارسال کنند. این مسابقه با همکاری مشترک کافه‌لیت مونترال و جشنواره‌ی تیرگان برگزار می‌شود.

بررسی داستان‌های دریافتی در سه مرحله توسط گروه داوران اجرا می‌شود و سه داستان به عنوان برندگان جوایز اول تا سوم انتخاب خواهند شد.

نفر اول: 500 دلار جایزۀ نقدی، تندیس آرش کمان‌گیر و لوح تقدیر.

نفر دوم: 300 دلار جایزۀ نقدی و لوح تقدیر.

نفر سوم: 200 دلار جایزۀ نقدی و لوح تقدیر.

داستان‌های راه‌یافته به مرحلۀ نهایی، پس از ویرایش، در مجموعه‌ای به نام داستان‌های کوتاه تیرگان منتشر خواهند شد.

داستان‌های ارسال شده باید واجد همۀ شرایط زیر باشند:

-         به زبان فارسی نوشته شده باشند.

-         بدون احتساب عنوان، واژگانشان کمتر از 2500 باشد.

-         پیش از ارسال به مسابقۀ داستان‌نویسی تیرگان، در هیچ کتاب، نشریه، رسانه، تارنما، وب‌گاه یا بلاگی منتشر نشده باشند.

-         متن‌های ارسالی باید در قالب MS Word با پسوند doc یا docx، با صفحه‌بندی استاندارد A4 و با شماره‌ی صفحه باشند.

در فرم ثبت نام مسابقه، اطلاعات شامل نام نویسنده، نام داستان، تعداد کلمات، روش تماس با نویسنده و کشور محل اقامتش گردآوری می‌شود. فایل متن داستان در این فرم بارگذاری می‌شود. این فایل باید تنها شامل متن و نام داستان (بدون نام یا اطلاعات نویسنده) باشد.

هر نویسنده می‌تواند فقط یک داستان کوتاه ارسال کند.

لطفا توجه کنید که با ارسال داستان به مسابقۀ داستان‌نویسی تیرگان، نویسنده اجازۀ چاپ و انتشار آن را به جشنواره واگذار می‌کند.

داوری مسابقۀ داستان‌نویسی جشنوارۀ تیرگان 2017

گروه داوری شامل چهار نفر از نویسندگان، منتقدان و محققان سرشناس ادبیات داستانی هستند. داستان‌ها پیش از ارسال به داورها، شماره‌گذاری شده و بدون نام نویسنده‌ها برای داورها فرستاده می‌شوند. سازوکار ارزشیابی و انتخاب داستان‌های برتر به شرح زیر است.

داستان‌های دریافتی به دو گروه مساوی (گروه 1 و گروه 2) تقسیم می‌شوند. از چهار داور نخست، دو گروه داوری دو نفره تشکیل می‌شود (گروه الف و گروه ب). در فرآیند داوری، هر داور مستقل از دیگر داورها عمل خواهد کرد. بر پایۀ زبان، خلاقیت و تخیل، پی‌رنگ و ساختار، شخصیت‌پردازی و کشش داستان، داورها به هر داستان امتیازی بین 0 تا 100 اختصاص می‌دهند.

مرحلۀ نخست:

داستان‌های گروه 1 برای داورهای گروه الف، و داستان‌های گروه 2 برای داورهای گروه ب فرستاده می‌شوند. در هر گروه، هر داور همۀ داستان‌های فرستاده شده به آن گروه را می‌خواند و به داستان‌ها امتیاز می‌دهد. داستان‌هایی که از یکی از دو داور حداقل 50 امتیاز بگیرند، به مرحلۀ دوم صعود می‌کنند. داستان‌هایی که از هر دو داور کمتر از 50 امتیاز دریافت کنند، از دور مسابقه خارج می‌شوند.

مرحلۀ دوم:

داستان‌های پذیرفتۀ شدۀ گروه الف برای گروه ب، و داستان‌های پذیرفته شدۀ گروه ب برای گروه الف فرستاده می‌شود. داورهای هر گروه تمام داستان‌های ارسالی را خوانده و ارزشیابی می‌کنند. در این مرحله فقط داستان‌هایی که از هر دو داور حداقل 50 امتیاز بگیرند، به مرحلۀ نهایی راه می‌یابند.

مرحلۀ نهایی:

در این مرحله، امتیاز نهایی هر داستان از جمع امتیازهای کسب شده از هر چهار داور محاسبه می‌شود. سه داستانی که بالاترین امتیازها را کسب کنند، به ترتیب رتبه‌های اول تا سوم را به خود اختصاص می‌دهند.

همۀ این مراحل با نظارت دبیر مسابقۀ داستان‌نویسی انجام خواهد گرفت.

حسین مرتضاییان آبکنار متولد اسفند 1345 تهران است، فارغ التحصیل رشته‌ی هنرهای دراماتیک از دانشکده‌ی هنرهای زیبای دانشگاه تهران. تا کنون دو مجموعه داستان به نام‌های «کنسرت تارهای ممنوعه» 1378 و «عطر فرانسوی» 1382 چاپ کرده و یک رمان به نام «عقرب، روی پله‌های راه‌آهن اندیمشک، یا از این قطار خون می‌چکه قربان!» 1385. رمان او برنده‌ی چندین جایزه‌ی کتاب سال شده، از جمله جایزه‌ی «بنیاد گلشیری»، جایزه‌ی «مهرگان ادب»، و جایزه‌ی ادبی «واو». اما متاسفانه پس از مدت کوتاهی از انتشار چاپ سوم آن، کتاب به خاطر مضمونِ ضد جنگش توقیف شد. این رمان همچنین تا کنون به زبان‌های فرانسه، آلمانی، کوردی، چینی، و چک ترجمه شده و ترجمه‌ی انگلیسی آن نیز به زودی منتشر خواهد شد.

آبکنار یک کتاب پژوهشی هم در زمینه‌ی ادبیات دوره‌ی قاجاریه نوشته با نام «معرفی و بررسی آثار داستانی و نمایشی از 1250 تا 1300» که در سال 1387 توسط انتشاراتِ فرهنگستان زبان و ادبیات فارسی منتشر شده.

آبکنار بیش از ده سال سابقه‌ی تدریس نویسندگی خلاق دارد و در «دانشگاه هنر» و چندین موسسه‌ی خصوصی دیگر نظیر «کارنامه» تدریس کرده و سه مجموعه داستان از شاگردانش گردآوری کرده با نام «همشاگردی‌ها» که توسط نشر «ناکجا» در فرانسه چاپ شده است. او همچنین نویسنده‌ی چند فیلمنامه‌ی سینمایی است که معروف‌ترینشان فیلمنامه‌ی «کسی از گربه‌های ایرانی خبر ندارد» ساخته‌ی «بهمن قبادی»، برنده‌ی جایزه‌ی «نوعی نگاه» «جشنواره‌ی کنِ» فرانسه شده است.

آبکنار سال 2013 موفق به دریافت فلوشیپ از دانشگاه هاروارد شد و یک سالی ساکن بوستون بود. سال 2014 فلوشیپ دوساله‌ای از دانشگاه نوادا گرفت و اکنون مشغول نوشتن رمان جدیدش است با نامِ «تاریکی». 

Tirgan 2017 Short Story Contest

Tirgan 2017 is extending an invitation to all those interested in writing in Persian to participate in the Tirgan 2017 Short Story Contest. All eligible submissions will be judged by a panel in two stages. A selection of stories will advance to the final round, and will be published in the Tirgan short story collection. The authors of the top three stories will be announced as winners:

First winner: $500 cash award, a Tirgan Arash statuette, and a certificate

Second winner: $300 cash award, and a certificate

Third winner: $200 cash award and a certificate

All stories that make the final round will be published in the Tirgan Short Story Collection.

Please note only submissions meeting all the following requirements will be considered for review by the panel of judges:

·         Language: Persian

·         Word count: Maximum 2,500 words (excluding the title).

·         All stories must be previously unpublished in print, on the web, or in other media.

·         Format: MS Word with a standard A4 size including page numbers

The writer's name, story title, number of the words, and the writer's contact information will be collected. The body of the story must be uploaded in a .doc or .docx format, solely containing the title and the body of the story. The information of the writer must be excluded from the uploaded file. Each competent can submit only one short story.

Please note that by making a submission you grant to Tirgan the right to publish and to authorize the publication of your short story in the Tirgan short story collection and/or any other print or web publications of Tirgan festival.

Evaluation Process

The jury is composed of four selected among renowned writers, scholars, and critics of Persian Literature. Before being sent to the juries, the stories will be given a unique ID as the name of the file to ensure the evaluation is unanimous. In the evaluation process, each jury acts independently from the other juries. Each jury can assign a grade from 0 to 100 to each story based on the innovation and imagination, plot and structure, characterization, language, and narrative attraction of the story.

The evaluation process is as follows:

The submitted stories will be divided into two groups of equal number: Group 1 and Group 2. The jury members will form two teams, each composed of two juries: Group A and Group B.

First round of evaluation:

The stories of the Group 1 will be send to the juries of the Group A, and the juries of the Group B will receive the stories of the Group 2. In each group, each jury reads all of the stories and evaluates them. The stories which get at least 50 points from at least one jury will make their way to the second round. The stories which receive less than 50 points from both jury members will be removed from the contest.

Second round of evaluation:

The stories accepted in round one in Group A will be send to the Group B jury members, and the juries of Group A will receive the accepted stories of the Group B. Each jury will read and evaluate all the stories assigned. In this step, each story that receives at least 50 points from the both juries will go to the final round of evaluation.

Final round of evaluation:

The final score of each story is calculated as the sum of the points received by all juries. The top three stories with the highest scores will be selected as the winners.

The whole evaluation process is conducted under supervision of the Secretary of the short story contest.

Hossein Mortezaeian Abkenar is an Iranian writer. He earned his BA in dramatic arts from University of Tehran. Abkenar's novel, A Scorpion on the Steps of Andimeshk Railroad Station, published in 2006, won the Mehregan Adab Award and the Hooshang Golshiri Award for the best first novel, as well as the Vaav Award for the year's most unique novel. That book has been translated into French, German, and Kurdish. He also wrote the screenplay for the film No one knows about Persian cats directed by Bahman Ghobadi and awared the Special Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard Section at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.

At Dadcliffe, Abkenar is writing a novel that covers three decades in Iran's history and takes a fresh look at Iranian Society-Particularly women's issues, revolution, the war, political and social crises, sex discrimination, and sexual violence- from a cultural standpoint. He is focusing on the plot design for this new novel and on researching historical facts.
