Siamak Nasr is an Iranian setar, player, singer, music composer and instructor. He has studied music and singing under instructions of many important music masters in Iran and India. Since his arrival to Montreal in 2007, Siamak has participated in many music projects, has played in a number of concerts and has collaborated with, for example, Festival du monde Arabe and the Sivananda Yoga Center. In 2009, Siamak formed a music group called 'Sufi - Yougi' that is inspired by Persian and Indian classical music. He is presently writing an extensive instructional book in French on playing the setar.
